The Elk Rapids Cinema is located in downtown Elk Rapids in the Chalfonte Theatre at 205 River Street. The cinema and theatre are owned and operated by the Chalfonte Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization.
The theatre includes new plush seats, an upgraded sound system and a state-of-the-art digital projector. Plans are underway to restore the mural that covers the entire ceiling of the theatre...the world's largest black light ceiling mural.
Chalfonte Theatre is also home to Village Radio, a community radio station; and, The Platform, for concerts and performances. Visit www.chalfontetheatre.org for more information.
