The Chalfonte Theatre (home of the Elk Rapids Cinema) is proud to announce its first live concert since the Chalfonte Foundation purchased the building and cinema in November 2023. On Tuesday, October 22nd, at 7 p.m., renowned Scottish performers Jim and Susie Malcolm will take the stage for a memorable evening celebrating the traditional music of Scotland.
In a commitment to accessibility and community engagement, ticket prices have been set at an affordable $9, the same cost as an evening movie ticket, ensuring the concert is accessible to all. Jim Malcolm, often hailed as the ultimate Scots troubadour, has spent over three decades performing traditional Scottish music and his own award-winning compositions. Known for his exquisite voice and superb guitar playing, Malcolm brings the songs of Scotland to life. His wife, Susie Malcolm, an acclaimed traditional singer, will join him in concert, offering harmonies and humor that create a truly enchanting evening.
